技術摘要 / Our Technology:
本發明提出一創新的微流體混合反應元件。該元件具有讓流體分流與再匯流的特性,可讓流體在極短的距離及時間內達成完全混合與反應。該元件中包含一個以上的流道入口,當注入流體會合後,進入帶有特殊形狀流道的混合單元,此混合單元可迫使流體產生分割、再結合以及重疊拉伸(混沌)的效果,可大幅提升流體的混合與反應的效率。本元件採用被動式混合,毋須在混合腔上加入額外能量,而且本元件可應用於連續性的生化與醫學分析儀器,適用於晶片實驗室或者是微全分析系統等,本元件亦可應用於化工材料的合成上,如高分子聚合物、有機化合物或是奈微米粒子的合成等。
A novel high-performance microfluidic mixing and reaction device is proposed in this invention. This device possesses mechanisms of split-and-recombination of fluids that enable complete mixing and reaction in a very small space within a short period. After flowing into the device through inlets, fluids meet the mixing units with specific geometry and are then compelled to split, recombine, and overlapping stretch in sequence via the mixing units; consequently, the mixing and reaction efficiency could be dramatically improved. The proposed device generates fluid mixing passively without any external energy. This device can be widely applied to biochemical and medical assay as Lab-on-Chip or &mgr; -TAS; furthermore, it can be used for synthesis of chemical engineering, nano-particle, and organic compound.
