一種多階層式平行多字元字串比對裝置，其具有：第一複數個階層單元，各所述階層單元均具有一現態輸入端、一字串輸入端、一次態輸出端、以及第二複數個比對輸出端，其中所述的階層單元係分成第二複數個串接組合；以及第二複數個第一優先權多工器，各所述第一優先權多工器均具有第一複數個第一候選資料輸入端及一個第一選定資料輸出端，其中任一所述第一優先權多工器之第一複數個所述第一候選資料輸入端係分別與第一複數個所述階層單元之一對應的所述第一比對輸出端耦接，且其所述第一選定資料輸出端係用以提供一對應的輸出資料。
A multi-level parallel multi-character string comparison device comprises: a first plurality of level units, each of the level units having a current state input terminal, a string input terminal, a next state output terminal, and a second plurality of comparison output terminals, wherein the level units are divided into a second plurality of cascaded combinations; and a second plurality of top priority multiplexers, each of the top priority multiplexers having a first plurality of first candidate data input terminals and a first selected data output terminal, wherein the first plurality of first candidate data input terminals of any one of the top priority multiplexers are respectively coupled to the first comparison output terminals corresponding to one of the first plurality of level units, and the first selected data output terminal is used to provide a corresponding output data.
